Under the claim ” We invest in cybersecurity “, Telefónica launches Tech Ventures its “investment vehicle” specialized in cybersecurity.

This “investment vehicle specialized in cybersecurity” has two objectives. On one hand, Telefónica wants to develop its own cybersecurity products, a sector that it has said will “attract, according to some market estimates, more than 8,000 million dollars of investment around the world this year.” And another of its goals is to detect disruptive innovation in this area thanks to the support of professionals from Eleven Paths and the TIV division.

The new investments will be aimed at startups with “disruptive potential” in areas such as Threat Intelligence, Cloud security, data protection and the application of automation or artificial intelligence. With all these assets, the company wants to be able in the future to face the threats that appear, with the innovations of its partners.
