SunTrust Bank reports a former employee may have accessed and shared personal information of 1.5 million clients with a criminal third party, according to The Wall Street Journal.

The Atlanta-based bank said that the employee, who no longer works at the bank, attempted to access client information and provide it to a “criminal third party.”
